Fällkniven F1/S1 Leather and Kydex Sheaths

Orange Custom F1

This sheath is made with an inner kydex sleeve and a leather outer cover.

The sheath is fully modular and has a removable vertical adapter, tinder pocket and fire steel loop. It can be set up using the modular parts for ambidextrous horizontal carry, vertical carry or dangler carry.

Zircote Barkniven F1

This is a high riding leather sheath with a Kydex liner made for a Fällkniven F1 (handled in zircote by Bark River Knife and Tool).

It’s the first proper piece of work that I’ve completed with Kydex, I think it’s turned out nicely!

The kydex liner gives the sheath strength allowing for a lighter leather to be used elsewhere and eliminating the need for a welt; this keeps the sheath nice and light. It also protects the knife from any metalwork on the leather and allows the sheath to be carefully washed through if the need arises.

Two Part S1 Sheath

This sheath is made with an inner kydex sleeve and a leather outer cover. Using kydex means that the inner section can be removed and washed through if necessary, for example if the knife has blood on from skinning and animal. Using kydex also means that there is no retention strap so the sheath is fully ambidextrous and can be reversed either way to suit almost any type of carry including cross draw, scout carry, belt or dangler carry and neck carry as well as PALS/MOLLE mounting options. The fire steel holder can be mounted horizontally or vertically, or can be removed alltogether if not needed.
