West Garforth Farm was situated on Selby Road close to The Gaping Goose. The farm was owned by Mr. Horner, whose main crop was rhubarb which he supplied to Covent Garden [3].

This image shows Mr. Henry Stringer who was the foreman at West Garforth Farm until 1940. He is shown here with his horse team which he used to enjoy driving down Main Street [3].
